Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cabbage (5 cups sliced
- 4 TBSP butter
- ½ cup water
- ¼ tsp salt (I use sea salt)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp sugar
- Good pinch red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Wash and slice cabbage in half, then into strips. Place in 2 qt baking dish. Cut the butter in 4 pieces and place around top of cabbage. Pour in the water and sprinkle with seasonings. No need to stir. Cover with tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove tin foil and bake uncovered for additional 15 minutes or desired tenderness. I like mine to get a little crispy on top before I pull it out.
