- 1 lb stew beef
- 1 pork chop
- ½ lb hamburger
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 TBSP parsley flakes
- 2 large cans tomatoes
- 1 TBSP sugar
- 2 small cans tomato paste
- 3 cans water using tomato paste cans
- salt and pepper
- Italian Meat Balls
- 4 slices dry bread
- 1 lb ground round
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup Romano cheese, grated
- 2 TBSP chopped parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp crushed oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- dash pepper
Combine above ingredients in pan to which oil has been added. Brown slowly for ½ hour or more. Then add tomatoes and sugar and cook for 1 hour. Then add tomato paste and water. Cook 3 hours real slow uncovered.Directions for Italian Meat Balls: Soak bread in water 2 to 3 minutes. then squeeze out moisture. Combine soaked bread with remaining ingredients, mixing well. Form in small balls (about 20). Brown slowly in 2 TBSP hot olive oil. Add to sauce, cook 30 minutes.
